If we know God, we love God. If we are loving God, we keep his commandments. Love is more than a feeling or an emotion. It is a commitment lived out in our actions and our behaviors.
If we know God and we love God, then we serve God. We become tied into what’s on God’s heart. Because he cares for people, we care for people. Because he is compassionate, we are compassionate. His priorities become our priorities.
- To what degree do our lives demonstrate that we love God?
- To which of our actions could we point and say, “This is how I love God”?
- Think through your daily life. What actions do you take that God could look upon and say: “This is how you love me”?
