A man has been leading one of the 10-week groups we’ve been doing in the transition center. The other day he told me that last night he had one of the residents—a woman in recovery—leading it. “I didn’t tell her that’s what she was doing, but she was leading it. She’d read a question, let the group respond, then look at me, and I’d say ‘That’s great, that’s great. Keep going, read the next question.’”

If we can keep the way we do ministry simple and model it, we can easily teach others to reproduce it. We simply model the way we want them to do it, then we let them try it. In the case of our 10-week transition center groups, if you can read, you can lead.
