Today’s post is by guest blogger Tara Miller.
This time of year is not only back-to-school season, but for many churches it’s also back-to-small group season. If you’re looking for ways to prep your leaders for the fall semester, I’d like to introduce Finding the Flow small group leader training.
Creating a training is a big job and small group coordinators don’t always have time to put them together. I know– I used to serve in that role. It can feel like a big time commitment to put together a training, and there are a lot of other moving pieces you need to stay on top of at the same time. So I took notes on what was needed… and later put together the training I wished I’d had at the time. I look forward to sharing this ready-to-go training curriculum with you so you don’t have to take time to re-invent the wheel in the midst of an already-busy ministry.
Based on a book I co-wrote with Jenn Peppers, this interactive PowerPoint training has everything you need to train new leaders or refresh existing ones. Each of the following topics has a two-hour training designed to teach related skills:
- Knowing yourself
- The stages of group life
- Listening to God and others
- Asking good questions
- Navigating conflict
- Developing new leaders
- Spiritual transformation
- Getting started
Pick and choose what your leaders need most right now, or walk through the sessions in order. You could do one a week, one a month, or make a weekend of it. Each module is ready-to-use, with a completed PowerPoint presentation, facilitator guide, and participant guides.
Provide strong support and training for your small group leaders so they’re prepared and confident as they move into the fall. Find out more here.
