Recently I’ve started teaching a class on anger management for teenage moms at a local high school. Parenting is hard enough even when you have all you need. Doing it under less than ideal circumstances is even more challenging. There are some young women taking this class who are committed to breaking cycles of anger and learning to parent well.
Everyone feels anger sometimes, from teenage moms to middle-aged pastors. It’s how we handle it that makes the difference. As Aristotle said, “Anyone can become angry—that is easy, but to be angry with the right person at the right time, and for the right purpose and in the right way—that is not easy.”
